The app shows live connection status. Your phone keeps doing everything else — calls, texts, 911 — exactly as before.
Important: what BlockTheCalls is — and isn't
- An AI assistant, not a phone company. We screen your incoming calls; we are not a telecommunications carrier.
- No outbound calling. 911 and all outbound calls stay on your own phone’s dialer — we never place, route, or handle emergency calls.
- Always-on safety net. If the service can’t stay connected for more than ~30 seconds, the app tells you and offers to dial your carrier’s cancel-forwarding code, restoring normal calling instantly. Re-enable when service returns.
- For your protection — not litigation. BlockTheCalls is a personal call-protection tool, not a service for harvesting TCPA lawsuits.

Are you a phone company?
No. BlockTheCalls is an AI assistant that screens your incoming calls. Your phone, carrier, number, texts, 911 and outbound calls are unchanged and stay entirely on your own device.
What about 911 and outbound calls?
We never handle them. You dial out — including 911 — using your normal phone exactly as you do today. We only screen incoming calls.
What if the service goes down?
The app shows live connection status. If we can’t stay connected for more than about 30 seconds, the app alerts you and offers to dial your carrier’s cancel-forwarding code, instantly restoring normal incoming calls. You re-enable protection when service returns. Outages happen; this is your safety net.
What happens to my data?
We collect only what’s needed to screen your calls, and we keep it as little and as briefly as the law allows, then delete it. See our Privacy Policy.
What happens after the 3-year founding term?
Your plan renews at the then-current retail price (monthly or, for founders, annual). AI costs rise over time, so prices may increase — but founders keep the lowest price the longest.
